Explore
While there is so much to explore in Noosaville itself, we love to get out and explore our surrounding neighbourhoods. Here are our recommendations for a day out and about.
The Sunshine Coast Coastal Strip
Starting in Sunshine Beach the coastal drive along David Low Way is beautiful, beach side driving with pristine ocean views that stretch as far as the eye can see. As you head south from Sunshine Beach, you’ll pass through the coastal, quiet neighbourhoods of Sunrise Beach, Castaways Beach, Marcus Beach, Peregian Beach before arriving at Coolum.
Noosa National Park
While the Noosa National Park features the spectacular coastal scenery of Noosa Headland, and nearby areas around Lake Weyba, Peregian and Coolum our favourite is the coastal walk in the Noosa Headlands area of the national park. While the park is surrounded by the developed areas of Noosa Heads and Sunshine Beach, this park is a wildlife sanctuary, protecting beautiful stands of eucalypt forest, woodland, melaleuca wetland, colourful wallum heathland and pockets of dense vine-strewn rainforest.
Mary Cairn Cross Scenic Reserve
The Mary Cairn Cross Scenic Reserve is a one hour drive from Sandy Beach Resort, and comprises of 55 hectares of subtropical rainforest overlooking the Glass House Mountains landscape. A remnant of the rainforests that once covered the Blackall Range, the reserve is a living museum of diverse plant and animal life. The walking tracks are open from 7am to 6pm and feature three tranquil and beautiful walks from 1.2 to 1.7km in length.
Maleny, Montville and the Blackall Range Tourist Drive
The Blackall Range Tourist Drive ( Route 23) is a very pretty, relaxing scenic route, winding it’s way through the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The road takes you through a number of quiet little townships including Maleny and Montville, nestled up in the mountains, enjoying beautiful views of both the Coast and Hinterland.
Kondalilla Falls Circuit, Kondalilla National Park
Just a 45 minute drive from Sandy Beach Resort, explore this beautiful walking track that leads from Kondalilla Falls down the escarpment into a lush rainforested valley then climbs up the ridge again to return.
Eumundi Markets

The markets have an amazing vibe, with live music playing each day and over 100 artisan shops selling everything from handcrafted furniture, homewares, artworks, ceramics, fashion and jewellery.
